Glycerol

Glycerin is part of the skin's own moisturizing system. Glycerol is released during the hydrolysis of the skin's own lipids and thus reaches the stratum corneum. Its pharmacokinetics, its behavior in the body and interactions with other substances, is well documented in research. Glycerol is considered endogenous substance and is well tolerated. Glycerin is effective in hydrating: for many years it is well known as a moisture-binding substance. It has an impressive hydrating effect.
